Marisa Hormel Yello Founder

Marisa Hormel


Marisa Ignacio Hormel is a graduate of Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art and a graduate of New York University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. While in NYC, she worked as an Investment Consultant at Andrew Garrett, Inc. She is a member of the Actor’s Equity Association and the Screen Actors Guild. She is a proud sponsor of the New York Foundation for the Arts, the Professional Dancers Society, the Fruit Tree Planting Foundation, the Organic Consumers Association, and the Organic Farming Research Foundation.

Karen Beal

Operations Manager

With over 15 years of restaurant and event management experience, Karen uses her trademark skills of problem solving, creativity, and flexibility to help clients produce unforgettable events. Some of her past clients have included national organizations and tech companies as well as numerous wedding receptions, birthday parties, and baby showers. Karen holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Nova Southeastern University and a Master of Arts in health education and promotion from the University of Alabama.

Holly Haley

Kitchen Assistant

Originally from Chicago, Holly brings a passion for healthy alternative foods. She comes from a family of trained chefs and followed in their footsteps by attending The Cooking & Hospitality Institute of Chicago. Holly has worked in catering and special events. She assists the chef during special events and the café at Yello!

Mary Ellen Krieger Yello

Mary Ellen Krieger

Creative Director

Mary Ellen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design from Penn State University. While at university she complimented her degree with design classes through Temple University’s Tyler School of Art, Rome, Italy. She launched her career at Bass Yager & Associates in Los Angeles, developing expertise in identity design, brand building, and system development. Mary Ellen continued to grow her career with IDEO and OCO in New York City, eventually finding her way to Yello where she oversees all things “visual”.

Alan Nippert


Chef Alan began his culinary career in 2007 at the Florida Culinary Institute in West Palm Beach. Earning his Culinary Arts Degree was a launching pad into the South Florida food scene. Alan has held various positions in restaurants, country clubs, catering companies, and has been a private chef for multiple clients including celebrities. You can find Chef Alan creating delicious plant-based foods in the kitchen at Yello!

Jennifer Quinn Yello CEO

Jennifer Quinn


Jennifer oversees finance, policies, procedures, and legal affairs. She earned her Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University in Southern California. Her clients include high-tech companies, not-for-profit organizations, and fashion designers.
